Chronic pain management in Toronto

The Universal Interventional Pain Clinic – Toronto is a medical facility designed to diagnose and treat pain conditions in the adult population. The clinic offers interventional treatments to assist in the management of chronic pain and, when appropriate, the management and prescription of medications.

Treatments and interventions offered

Nerve, joint, muscle, tendon sheath and trigger point blocks and injections to the face, scalp, arms, legs, thorax, abdomen, pelvis and spine. They may include paravertebral cervical, thoracic, lumbar and sacral blocks, peripheral and cranial nerve injections, intercostal blocks, epidural steroid injections, and botulinum injections for migraines, spasticity and dystonia.

Assessment and monitoring

The clinic assesses each patient individually and, based on the history, physical examination, radiology and electrophysiological results, provides a treatment plan to which the patient and physician agree. Procedure pain scores before and after treatment are recorded for each patient. Vital signs are also monitored and recorded to ascertain the safety of the treatments and are assessed by the physicians and nurse. All records are kept in electronic format, ready for transmission to your office at any given time.
