Physician-led interventional pain care in Toronto
Universal Interventional Pain Clinic Toronto provides interventional care for adults living with chronic back, neck, joint and nerve pain. Assessments and most procedures are covered by OHIP, and a referral from a family physician or nurse practitioner is required.
How we work
An inspected facility
The clinic is registered with the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Ontario as an inspected Level 2 Out-of-Hospital Premises.
Imaging without the wait
Your MRI is completed free of charge on the same day as your assessment, so treatment planning starts at your first visit.
A plan you agree to
Each patient is assessed individually. Based on history, physical examination, radiology and electrophysiological results, the physician provides a treatment plan that the patient and physician agree on together.
Records kept and shared
Procedure pain scores are recorded before and after treatment, vital signs are monitored during procedures, and all records are kept electronically and can be sent to the referring office at any time.

For referring physicians
Our current wait time is 7–21 days for complete referrals. Referring physicians who belong to a Family Health Team (FHO or FHT) will not be negated for referring to the clinic. Referrals can be faxed to 416-256-0602 or sent through your EMR.
